The concluding chapter of the legendary Fast & Furious saga has officially secured its place on the cinematic calendar. Universal Pictures is scheduled to launch the film in U.S. theaters on March 17, 2028.
The final installment is titled Fast Forever. While specific plot points remain closely guarded secrets, Vin Diesel will return to lead the family one last time as Dominic Toretto. Louis Leterrier is set to return to the director’s chair to helm the project.
Since its high-octane debut in 2001, the franchise has become a global phenomenon. Its predecessor, Fast X, premiered in 2023 and amassed over $715 million at the worldwide box office. Although principal photography was originally slated to begin in 2025, the production timeline has faced several postponements.
