After three years in Early Access and two postponements, Farthest Frontier is finally set for its full launch. Crate Entertainment, the studio behind Grim Dawn, confirmed that version 1.0 will debut on October 23, 2025.
The developers say the strong Early Access run — during which the strategy sold more than 1.2 million copies — allowed them to substantially expand the game. The 1.0 release will introduce major additions: a redesigned progression tree with 142 unlockable nodes, reworked monument mechanics, dozens of new buildings, bridges, an overhauled policy system and improved animations. According to the studio, version 1.0 will mark the end of Early Access and serve as the foundation for future updates.
The launch will also bring a price increase, from $29.99 to $34.99 in the United States. For buyers who want the lower price, there’s one last opportunity: Farthest Frontier will be part of Steam’s Autumn Sale, which begins on September 29, 2025.
The medieval-themed strategy has already earned players’ praise — it holds a 92% positive rating on Steam.
