Fans update custom GTA 6 map with smaller size and more detail
As the release date approaches, the unofficial map continues to grow in detail.
Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for release on November 19, 2026, for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. Throughout the marketing campaign, Rockstar Games has revealed various pieces of the game world, prompting enthusiasts to prepare a world map ahead of the official launch.
Over the past months, the community has managed to assemble a very detailed map. The “State of LEONIDA” project received an additional boost from leaks, including a recent breach involving nearly 200 GB of internal materials from Rockstar Games. Those files contained materials related to V and an early map for GTA VI.
The creators have now presented a new version of the GTA VI world map. Compared to previous iterations, this one has noticeably decreased in size, but the team managed to add more details.

The summer gameplay showcase for GTA VI provided a clearer understanding of the game’s scale, which is reflected in the fan-made map.
The map creators decided to use a 1×1 kilometer grid, with a total map size of approximately 21×20 kilometers. A portion of this area is allocated to the surrounding water, meaning the total available land area is less than 420 square kilometers.

Readers can examine the resulting map via the following link. Players have placed various key locations on the layout, which were identified using screenshots and footage from previously published GTA VI trailers.
