Florence + The Machine’s Everybody Scream Wins This Week’s Fan Poll

Published: October 31, 2025

Everybody Scream, the newest album from Florence + The Machine, emerged as the clear favorite in a fan poll published Friday, October 31, 2025. Voters selected Florence Welch’s latest release as the top new record of the week, with the album receiving 53% of the total votes.

The record arrived on Halloween and shared the release window with new material from artists including Tyler, The Creator, Reneé Rapp and Brent Faiyaz. The 12-track collection is fronted by the title cut and the single “One of the Greats,” both of which were previewed ahead of the full release.

Welch has described the album as both intensely personal and steeped in mythic imagery. In a cover interview with L’Officiel, she reflected on mortality and the creative impulses that shaped the record, calling the project more intimate and darker in tone than her prior work.

The creative turn follows a traumatic health incident in 2023, when Welch suffered an ectopic pregnancy onstage that led to a ruptured fallopian tube and emergency surgery. She has spoken candidly about grief and the ways she’s tried to make sense of that experience through songwriting and performance.

“The stage is where I can let how big the feelings are out — to scream, to weep, to move,” she told NPR, describing live performance as a vital outlet.

In the poll’s final tally, Tyler, The Creator’s “Mother” earned 15% of votes, Reneé Rapp’s “Lucky” received 6%, Brent Faiyaz’s “Have To” captured 2%, and 20% of respondents selected “other,” indicating a different favorite not listed on the ballot.
