Fallout Season 3 Adds Order of the Feather, Set Photos Indicate

Set photos from the production of the Fallout series have revealed new details about the upcoming season.

Filming for the third season of the Fallout series is underway, and new set photos have appeared online that hint at the appearance of a Brotherhood of Steel branch known as the Order of the Quill. Specifically, images taken at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles feature banners depicting a quill and an open book.

Members of the Order of the Quill search for books and holodisks, preserve discovered information, and keep the chronicles of the Brotherhood of Steel. The faction was previously mentioned in the games, but it has never played a major role in the story.

Official details about the third season remain sparse. It is suggested that part of the story will take place in Colorado, where the Ghoul went to search for his family. This region has not previously appeared in released Fallout games, although it was planned for use in the canceled Van Buren, an early version of the third installment that was later replaced by Fallout 3.

This direction aligns with statements from Bethesda Game Studios head Todd Howard. He previously promised that the third season would introduce viewers to locations and elements of the universe that had not been shown in the games before.

Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Walton Goggins, and Kyle MacLachlan will return to their roles. New cast members include Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad), Emily Mortimer (The Newsroom), Manny Jacinto (The Acolyte), and Thomasin McKenzie (Jojo Rabbit). Their roles are currently being kept secret.

The premiere of the third season of Fallout is expected in the second half of 2027.
