When the clock struck midnight, it was Dom Dolla who commanded the stage. The Australian electronic titan took the lead for the highly anticipated New Year’s Eve countdown at Beyond The Valley (BTV), which celebrated its milestone 10th anniversary this year.

Dominic Matheson, the man behind the moniker, maintained an explosive energy throughout his set, ensuring the transition into the new year was nothing short of legendary. Fans can catch a glimpse of the high-octane performance in the footage below.

Set against the sprawling, scenic landscapes of Barunah Plains in Victoria, this year’s BTV welcomed a capacity crowd of 40,000 revelers. According to the festival’s organizers, Untitled Group, tickets for the anniversary edition were snapped up almost instantly, solidifying its status as a premiere destination on the global festival circuit.

The four-day musical marathon, spanning from December 28 to January 1, boasted a star-studded lineup. Highlights included Addison Rae, who delivered her debut festival performance, and Kid Cudi, marking his first appearance on Australian soil in more than a decade. The roster was further bolstered by heavy hitters like Turnstile and local icons The Temper Trap.

“Bringing in the New Year at BTV was an absolute peak experience,” Kid Cudi shared via Instagram. “The energy was incredible, and the love I felt from the crowd was beautiful. It was a truly special way to return.”

Entrusting Dom Dolla with the countdown honors was a natural choice for the festival. Dolla has become a cornerstone of the BTV legacy, having performed at eight of its ten editions. His appearance follows a historic year for the DJ, who recently became the first local deck-master to headline a solo stadium show at Allianz Stadium. In late 2024, his national tour saw a staggering 170,000 tickets sold, managed by Untitled Group—a partner that has supported his meteoric rise from local talent to Grammy-nominated global star.

“Reflecting on ten years of Beyond The Valley is a moment of immense pride for us,” stated Nicholas Greco, co-founder and managing partner of Untitled Group. “From Addison Rae’s debut to the homecoming of Kid Cudi and Dom Dolla’s iconic countdown, these moments define the BTV spirit: connection, discovery, and unforgettable shared experiences.”

The festivities show no signs of slowing down. The core lineup, including Dolla, Rae, and Cudi, transitioned to the Wildlands Festival in Brisbane on New Year’s Day. The summer circuit concludes this Saturday, January 3, as the tour heads west to Perth’s Arena Joondalup for the final leg of the celebration.
