Euphoria creator Sam Levinson signs deal with Amazon
Sam Levinson, the creative mind behind acclaimed series such as Euphoria and The Idol, has inked a multi-year partnership with Amazon MGM Studios. Alongside his wife and producing partner, Ashley Levinson, he will exclusively develop and produce original television projects for Prime Video. While the filmmaker previously maintained a long-standing creative home at HBO, his upcoming episodic ventures will now debut on the Amazon platform.
Executives at Amazon lauded Levinson’s distinctive directorial vision and his remarkable ability to craft narratives that resonate with global audiences. Peter Friedlander, head of television at the studio, praised Levinson as one of contemporary television’s most daring and singular voices, expressing enthusiasm for their future collaboration. Levinson shared his gratitude for the studio’s support, noting that he is eager to begin developing new content under this partnership.
This strategic deal follows the conclusion of the third season of Euphoria, which served as the final chapter for the hit series.
