Este Haim, the eldest member of the acclaimed indie-rock trio Haim, has officially wed tech entrepreneur Jonathan Levin. The couple celebrated their nuptials in an elegant California ceremony on New Year’s Eve, fulfilling a childhood dream for the bassist. “I have been anticipating this day since I was five years old,” she revealed to Vogue, which captured her final gown fitting at Louis Vuitton leading up to the celebration.
The high-profile event drew a legendary guest list, most notably featuring Haim’s close friends Taylor Swift and Stevie Nicks. The two icons were spotted together in candid long-lens photographs from the festivities, highlighting the intimate yet star-studded nature of the affair.
Swift—who stunned in a shimmering, gold-sequinned gown—has maintained a deep personal and professional bond with Este, Danielle, and Alana Haim for years. Their creative collaborations include the narrative-driven track “No Body, No Crime” from Swift’s Evermore and a featured appearance on the expanded version of Haim’s “Gasoline.” While Swift was a central figure at the wedding, her fiancé, Travis Kelce, was not seen in the images circulating from the event.
Reflecting on her lifelong vision for the big day, Este reminisced about a Cinderella-esque fantasy involving a grand ballroom and a dramatic entrance. “I always imagined descending a spiral staircase in a massive gown, with my husband waiting at the bottom to take my hand,” she shared in a feature video for Vogue.
To bring this vision to fruition, the musician turned to her friend Nicolas Ghesquière, the women’s creative director at Louis Vuitton, for a custom bridal look. The ceremony dress was just one of three ensembles prepared for the occasion; she also commissioned two alternate designs to wear during the reception and the late-night after-party.
While the couple officially shared their engagement news this past February, Levin actually proposed on December 22, 2024. The mid-hike proposal caught the musician completely off-guard. “I was wearing sweats and sneakers, my hair was in a top knot, and I even had acne medication on my face,” she joked, recalling how she screamed with excitement before asking fellow hikers to document the milestone.
As the sisters noted during their wedding preparations, Este marks a significant milestone for the family as the first of the three Haim siblings to marry.
On the professional front, Haim continues to enjoy commercial success. Their latest studio album, I Quit, arrived in July and saw immediate chart success, reaching No. 2 on the Top Rock Albums chart and No. 25 on the all-genre Billboard 200.
