Escape from Tarkov Has a Five-Year Plan — A Multi-Year Development Roadmap for the Extraction Shooter
EFT’s developers aren’t planning to abandon the project anytime soon.
The full 1.0 release of Escape from Tarkov is slated for November 15. Some players worried that support might be dropped after launch and that the team would move on to other projects.
In reality, the developers have ambitious plans — they intend to continue supporting the game for at least another five years.
The “wipe” mechanic will remain after launch. In PvP there will be two profile types — a seasonal profile (subject to wipes) and a persistent, non-wipe profile.
All locations except the Epicenter will be locked at release: players will unlock them gradually as they advance through the story.
