Epic Games Preparing Major Fall Guys Update Amid Questions Over Game’s Future
Epic Games head Tim Sweeney has denied rumors that Disney bought Mediatonic and Fall Guys, while indicating that the game is in line for a major overhaul.
Fall Guys has lost a lot of popularity since it moved under Epic Games. Other projects from the company have also struggled, including Rocket Racing and Fortnite Festival. Against that backdrop, speculation appeared online that Disney had acquired Mediatonic along with the Fall Guys rights and would turn the game into a project based on its franchises, called Disney’s Fall Guys.
Sweeney rejected that claim and said Fall Guys still belongs to Epic Games. He added that the company is preparing major changes meant to improve the game.
No, but don’t give up on Fall Guys. A major overhaul is underway that will make new features possible.
Details are expected in a few months. There is also an unconfirmed claim that Fall Guys and Rocket League could move to Unreal Engine 6.
