Enthusiast Ports Infinity Blade to Android 16 Years After iOS Release
Players have been unable to officially purchase or install Epic Games’ mobile hit for several years.
An enthusiast has released the first public version of an unofficial Android port of Infinity Blade. The author describes the project as an attempt to preserve the cult mobile game, which was previously released exclusively on Apple devices.
The port is primarily designed for modern Android devices, including foldable smartphones, and differs very little from the original iOS version except for higher-quality textures. The project has not been tested on older models, and some modern devices still experience compatibility issues.
The author is currently continuing to fix discovered bugs. Following initial feedback, they have already resolved a black screen issue on devices with Mali and Immortalis graphics, alongside several problems with rendering models and interface elements on Mali, Immortalis, and PowerVR GPUs.

The original Infinity Blade launched on iOS in December 2010. The action game from ChAIR Entertainment was the first iOS title built on Unreal Engine 3 and drew attention for its graphics, which approached console quality for that era. The series later received two sequels released in 2011 and 2013.
In December 2018, Epic Games removed the entire trilogy from the App Store and disabled in-app purchases. The company explained the decision by stating that maintaining the series at the required level was becoming increasingly difficult. Owners of the games could redownload them from their purchase history for a short time, but that option disappeared in 2020 after Epic Games’ developer account was removed from Apple’s store.
When bidding farewell to the series, Epic Games hinted that Infinity Blade might still appear “in unexpected places.” A sword of the same name was later added to Fortnite, but the games themselves were never reissued, and the franchise never received a full-fledged sequel.
The public version of the port is available for download from the project’s archive.
