ENHYPEN’s latest conceptual masterpiece, THE SIN: VANISH—marketed as a theatrical “mystery-show” album—has officially claimed the throne in this week’s fan-led music survey.
Following the poll’s launch on Friday (Jan. 16) on Billboard, global music enthusiasts rallied behind the septet’s cinematic anthology. The project, which is deeply rooted in an intricate vampire mythology, resonated strongly with listeners as their favorite new release of the week.
The arrival of THE SIN: VANISH coincided with a wave of high-profile drops from artists like Madison Beer, A$AP Rocky, Mitski, and Megan Moroney. Despite the stiff competition, ENHYPEN’s dedicated following ensured a landslide victory, propelling the 11-track record to the top spot with a commanding 68% of the total vote.
The group—composed of Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jungwon, and Ni-Ki—unveiled the project on Friday, spearheaded by the evocative lead single, “Knife.” Available in Korean, English, Japanese, and Chinese, the album is described by BELIFT LAB as the group’s most narratively ambitious chapter to date. It functions as an experimental piece of art, blending music and narration to explore the “fragile equilibrium between desire and consequence” within a world of forbidden vampire romance.
While THE SIN: VANISH is curated for a linear, immersive listening experience from start to finish, the lead track “Knife” served as the narrative’s gateway, accompanied by a high-production music video that debuted alongside the album.
Trailing ENHYPEN in the rankings were Madison Beer’s locket, which secured 20% of the vote, followed by A$AP Rocky’s Don’t Be Dumb at 4%, and Mitski’s latest track, “Where’s My Phone?,” which garnered 2%.
