“Empire”’s Jussie Smollett Hospitalized After Apparent Hate Crime Attack: Report

Jussie Smollett—the actor and singer finest identified for his position as Jamal Lyon on the TV sequence “Empire”—was reportedly hospitalized in Chicago early this morning after two males attacked him in what was an obvious hate crime, in line with TMZ and Entertainment Tonight. Smollett was allegedly strolling out of a Subway sandwich store when two masked males started to name him homophobic and racist slurs and assault him. TMZ stories that the attackers put a noose round Smollett’s neck, poured bleach on him, and yelled “This is MAGA country” earlier than leaving the scene.

Smollett was launched from the hospital this morning, in line with TMZ. He reportedly suffered from a fractured rib.
