Elon Musk Announces First Game Created Entirely by Artificial Intelligence

Elon Musk has confirmed that his company xAI is developing a video game “entirely created by artificial intelligence.” The project is scheduled to premiere in late 2026, and Musk calls it one of the most ambitious experiments fusing AI technology with the entertainment industry.

He made the announcement on X, writing:

“xAI studio will release a great game created by artificial intelligence by the end of next year.”

This is the first official confirmation that xAI, known for its conversational system Grok, is moving into the video game market.

According to Business Insider, the company has begun hiring “game instructors” who will train neural networks to design gameplay, mechanics, and narrative. Compensation is reported at up to $100 per hour, highlighting the seriousness of Musk’s investment in AI-driven development.

The industry has previously seen projects using AI to generate dialogue and levels, but no title has yet been entirely authored by artificial intelligence. If Musk follows through, it could mark the start of a new era in which neural networks evolve from tools into full-fledged game creators.
