Scout Elf Squad Debuts First Music Video: “The Elves Went Over the Mountain”

Trending on Billboard

Move over, Mariah Carey — the Elf on the Shelf is staking its claim in holiday music. Billboard Family premieres
“The Elves Went Over the Mountain,” the inaugural music video from The Elf on the Shelf’s preschool series,
Scout Elf Squad. The new single accompanies a 10-track album and captures four Scout Elves as they journey over
frosted hills to “see what they can see.”

The new song is part of the album Scout Elf Squad: Sing & Play Nursery Rhymes, which is scheduled for release
on November 21, 2025. The accompanying preschool series will debut on YouTube on November 24, 2025, introducing
viewers to Frostina, Shiver, Snowdrop and Blizzard as they play, learn and work together after Scout Elf School.

Chanda A. Bell, co-founder and co-CEO of The Lumistella Company, says the brand has seen growing demand for
content aimed at the youngest fans — including toddlers — whose parents want to share the Scout Elf tradition.
To mark the franchise’s 20th anniversary, the company is expanding the Santaverse with a YouTube pilot season
and a new collection of songs designed for family sing-alongs.

Bell notes that holiday music and childhood memories are tightly linked, and the new Scout Elf Squad songs are
meant to brighten the season while encouraging imagination, teamwork and playful family moments.
