‘East of Eden’ starring Florence Pugh is now on Netflix

Netflix has officially premiered “East of Eden,” a fresh limited series adaptation of John Steinbeck’s classic novel.

Florence Pugh headlines the production as Cathy Ames, a pivotal character in this sprawling generational saga of the Trask family. Set against the backdrop of early 20th-century California, the narrative delves into profound themes of familial discord, romance, moral culpability, and the burden of free will.

This project marks the latest screen interpretation of Steinbeck’s 1952 masterpiece, which was famously adapted into a feature film in 1955 starring James Dean.

The complete seven-episode run of “East of Eden” is now available for streaming on Netflix.
