This Friday (November 30), Earl Sweatshirt will launch his third album, Some Rap Songs. The tracklist for the album has now been revealed on iTunes, as Exclaim! factors out. The 15-song file contains collaborations with New York rapper/producer Navy Blue (“The Mint”) and Standing on the Corner. In addition, a monitor known as “Playing Possum” options Earl’s dad and mom, Cheryl Harris and the late South African poet laureate Keorapetse Kgositsile. Find the tracklist under.

According to the press launch for Some Rap Songs, previous to Kgositsile’s death in January 2018, Earl and his father had been “roughly a month out from from a reunion that would facilitate a long-anticipated conversation.”

“Me and my dad had a relationship that’s not uncommon for people to have with their fathers, which is a non-perfect one,” Earl mentioned in an announcement. “Talking to him is symbolic and non-symbolic, but it’s literally closure for my childhood. Not getting to have that moment left me to figure out a lot with my damn self.”
