EA Sports FC 26 Gets First Pre-Release Patch — What Changed?
EA Sports opted not to wait for the game’s official launch and pushed out the first patch for EA Sports FC 26 ahead of release. Title Update 1.0.2 is built from feedback gathered during early access.
The update is rolling out across all platforms and brings gameplay tweaks, career-mode fixes, and overall stability improvements.
The primary focus is the shooting system. Low-driven shots have been made less accurate at maximum power to address an imbalance. The update also rebalances offense and defense: the AI joins attacks more proactively and enters the box more frequently, while defenders react more precisely to opponents and occupy smarter positions on the pitch.
In Career mode, a bug that allowed players to leave a club during simulations has been fixed. Control responsiveness, general stability, and minor visual elements were refined — including updated player faces and kits.
Patch notes for EA Sports FC 26 Title Update 1.0.2:
– Reduced accuracy of Low Driven Shots when struck at high power.
– Enhanced attacking AI behavior (more wing runs and improved offside handling).
– Smarter defending when using a low defensive line.
– Fixed an issue where players could leave the club in Career mode.
– Improvements to Be A Goalkeeper mode (for example, a shot-direction indicator).
– Better controller responsiveness and optimizations for PC.
– Updated player faces and kits, with additional minor visual tweaks.
– General stability enhancements.
The official release date for EA Sports FC 26 is September 26, 2025.
