EA Signs Partnership Agreement with Stability AI to “Accelerate Workflows and Expand Creative Capabilities”
“The future of creativity shines brighter than ever.”
Electronic Arts has announced a strategic partnership with Stability AI. The collaboration is aimed at co-developing AI models and tools that will help EA’s artists, designers, and developers rethink how they produce game content.
EA emphasizes that machine learning and artificial intelligence have long underpinned the company’s innovation, and it insists people will remain central to its work. AI will act as “a dependable ally — speeding up iterations, expanding creative possibilities, and freeing time for the tasks that matter most”.
One of the initial priorities is accelerating the creation of physically based rendering (PBR) materials. New, artist-focused workflows are being developed — for example, tools to generate 2D textures that retain accurate color and lighting across varied environments. This will let artists realize their vision more quickly and with higher fidelity.
