Drake Cleverly Samples His Own ‘MAID OF HONOUR’ on New Karol G Collaboration ‘Ahí’
Drake and Karol G Unite for the Summery Collaboration “Ahí”

Drake’s affinity for a certain Colombian superstar has officially materialized into a brand-new musical partnership. Karol G’s highly anticipated album, No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto, arrived on Friday (August 7), highlighted by a sun-drenched collaboration with the Toronto rap icon that cleverly nods to his recent musical releases.
Positioned as the fourth track on the tracklist, “Ahí” features the Latin music powerhouse and Drizzy seamlessly blending their vocals over an infectious, undulating rhythm. Together, they exchange candid verses about navigating unrequited feelings for someone hesitant to commit. Towards the conclusion of the track, Drake delivers a memorable stanza: “I want a Latina, I want a Latina / I want a face just like Karolina / And I want a waist just like Karolina … I’m not a drug dealer, my money’s way cleaner.”
These clever bars directly mirror Drake’s flirtatious track “New Bestie,” released this past May, which originally featured an explicit shout-out to the acclaimed songstress. At the time, he rhymed, “Yeah, I want a Latina, I want a Latina / I want a G like Karolina.”
“New Bestie” enjoyed a notable run on the Billboard Hot 100, while his broader project, MAID OF HONOUR, debuted impressively at No. 3 on the Billboard 200. Remarkably, the top two positions that same week were also claimed by the hip-hop titan with ICEMAN and HABIBTI, following his strategic surprise release of three simultaneous albums.
Boasting additional features with renowned artists such as Bruno Mars and Greg Gonzalez of Cigarettes After Sex, No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto follows closely on the heels of Karol G’s acclaimed 2025 project, Tropicoqueta, which spent two consecutive weeks reigning at the summit of the Top Latin Albums chart.
The synergy between Drake and Karol G has been building for months, fueled earlier this year by industry speculation regarding potential cross-overs. Although that speculation ultimately manifested simply in playful lyricism, the duo has now delivered the ultimate payoff with “Ahí.”
