Dragon Quest VII Reimagined Shown at TGS 2025 — 17 Minutes of Gameplay
Tokyo Game Show 2025 showcased a host of compelling projects, among them a remake of Dragon Quest VII. Following the enhanced release on Nintendo 3DS, Square Enix has revisited and reimagined this RPG from the original PlayStation era.
Dragon Quest VII Reimagined, revealed earlier, is already being hailed as one of the strongest modern entries in the series, standing alongside Dragon Quest VIII.
During the TGS presentation the developers shared nearly 17 minutes of gameplay. The footage highlights world exploration, combat, and several new mechanics. The segment begins at approximately 27:43 and continues until roughly the 45-minute mark of the showcase.
Fans are hopeful that other entries in the series will receive similarly polished reimaginings.
