Nothing claims Thanksgiving like football and Dolly Parton. The songs tale is readied to heading The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Kickoff Halftime Show on Nov. 23, when the Dallas Cowboys handle the Washington Commanders at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
“Wow! What an honor to get to kick off The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign with the halftime show during the Dallas Cowboys game this Thanksgiving,” Parton stated in a news release, per Entertainment Tonight. “Those Red Kettles have long been a symbol of hope for our friends and neighbors who are facing hard times. My goal is to encourage everyone who can to donate and support their neighbors in need. Every small act of generosity helps, and together, we can all love our neighbors this holiday season and beyond.”
The program, which intends to increase understanding and funds for The Salvation Army’s yearly Red Kettle Campaign, will certainly include tracks consisting of Parton’s largest hits along with brand-new tracks off her future Rockstar cd, due for launch on Nov. 17.
