Doja Cat Haunts Fortnitemares as Fortnite’s Spookiest Guest Star Yet
Doja Cat Is Fortnite’s 2025 “Mother of Thorns” for Fortnitemares
Published Oct. 8, 2025

Fortnite has tapped Doja Cat as its 2025 “Mother of Thorns,” naming the rapper the central figure of this year’s Fortnitemares celebration. The collaboration was announced on Oct. 8, 2025.
Arriving just weeks before Halloween, the tie‑in places Doja Cat inside the Fortnite world as a non‑playable character who presides over a new slate of spooky additions. Her presence anchors a roster that also includes horror icons such as Wednesday Addams, Jason Voorhees (from Friday the 13th) and Ghostface.
Two tracks from Doja’s catalog — “AAAHH MEN!” and “Gorgeous” — are being integrated into the game as Jam Tracks, letting players enjoy her music during gameplay. A trailer released alongside the announcement offers a first look at her avatar: Doja dramatically crashes through the floor of a haunted attic while riding a grotesque plant creature, fixes the camera with glowing red eyes and delivers a blood‑curdling “Boo!”
Fortnitemares 2025 runs through Oct. 31, giving players until Halloween night to experience the seasonal content and the new character roster.
This partnership continues Fortnite’s history of collaborating with major musical figures—past crossovers have included Lady Gaga, The Weeknd, Sabrina Carpenter and Billie Eilish—each bringing bespoke avatars and in‑game events to the platform.
Doja’s appearance in Fortnite coincides with the release cycle for her latest album, Vie, which arrived at the end of September 2025 and marks a deliberate return to pop‑oriented songwriting following 2023’s Scarlet.
Shortly after Vie’s release, Doja announced a global tour to support the record. The run launches in New Zealand in November 2025 and is scheduled to continue through the end of 2026, visiting venues across multiple continents.
