Chicago footwork and R&B artist DJ Nate has introduced his first new album in virtually a decade. Take Off Mode is the follow-up to Nate’s 2010 debut Da Trak Genious and it arrives April 26 by way of Planet Mu. Check out the LP’s “You Ain’t Ready to Battle” beneath.

In a press launch, Planet Mu mentioned that Nate’s creative output slowed after the artist was paralyzed from the neck down in an accident two years in the past. (He’s not too long ago recovered.) He has been “making the occasional footwork track, often putting videos out on YouTube, and it’s these tracks, uploaded between 2010 to now, which caught our ear,” reads the press launch.
