Some of the biggest music, entertainment and social media stars in the world will meet in the boxing ring this weekend for the first-ever “Social Gloves: Battle of the Platforms” fight.
The pay-per-view event, streaming on LiveXLive for $49.99, is being billed as a TikTok vs. YouTube fight, and will feature Austin McBroom vs. Bryce Hall in the main event, with additional matches featuring Danny Duncan, DDG, Deji, FaZe Jarvis, Michael Le, Nate Wyatt, Tanner Fox, Tayler Holder and Vinnie Hacker.
There will also be an in-person audience at the event, which is taking place at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. Tickets to Social Gloves are available on Ticketmaster and on Vivid Seats (with current seats starting at $50). Due to Covid restrictions, social distancing will be enforced and seating will be at a reduced capacity, so if you want to watch the Bryce Hall vs. Austin McBroom fight live in person, you should grab tickets before they sell out.
In addition to the celebrity boxing matches, Social Gloves will also include live musical performances by DJ Khaled, Lil Baby and Migos. Organizers are promising more musical artists and celebrity guests to be announced soon.
LiveXLive is also partnering up with fantasy sports platform, StatHero, to be the exclusive place to wager on for “Social Gloves: Battle of the Platforms.” Fans in-house at the event and watching via PPV will have the chance to win cash prizes, seat upgrades and play what’s being billed as the first-ever “Daily Fantasy Sportsbook.”
Prizes for players signing up at the event include upgrades to floor seats at the Social Gloves live event at Hard Rock Stadium, in addition to money. Fans can handpick fighters to go one-on-one against StatHero’s fight cards. Every punch landed and every knockdown earns you points on your way to “besting StatHero” and earning a prize (new users can go to Stathero.com/gloves to get a $10 free play).
“We are thrilled to partner with StatHero on Social Gloves: Battle of the Platforms. Their platform taps into our fans’ passion for the event and their favorite fighters by offering players the opportunity to get in on the action,”says Dermot McCormack, President of LiveXLive, in a release .
“We could not think of a better way to introduce the 1st Daily Fantasy Sportsbook to the world,” adds StatHero’s Jason Jaramillo. “The buzz of Social Gloves: Battle of the Platforms has been contagious, not only with the fans but with fantasy sports players as well.
