Dogs aren’t simply a male’s buddy — they can act as intermediators, also. Newlyweds Billy Ray Cyrus and Firerose showed up on the Thursday (Oct. 26) episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show and talked about exactly how destiny — and the “Achy Breaky Heart” vocalist’s late canine — brought them with each other.
“I was waking out of an audition on Sunset Gala in Hollywood, and Billy’s dog at the time, Tex — who was the most beautiful German shepherd you’ve ever seen — he was tapped into some divine purpose because we were, at the time, just friends and all these years later, we got married,” Firerose clarified.
Cyrus and Firerose tied the knot on Oct. 10, and shared the information using Instagram by publishing wedding event pictures. The set’s wedding event followed much less than a year of involvement, and 14 years after they originally fulfilled on the collection of Disney Channel collection Hannah Montana.
“10/10/23 will always be the beautiful, joyous day that our two souls united as one in holy matrimony. It was the most perfect, ethereal celebration of love we could have ever imagined,” the joint subtitle read. “For both of us to hear the preacher say, ‘Billy Ray and Firerose Cyrus… I now pronounce you husband and wife’ that was the sacred moment our new forever began. Long Live Love!”
