This week, Codemasters acquired behind the wheel of their flashy new motor to ship us a brand new trailer, crashing new story beats straight into Dirt 5’s profession mode and confirming an October launch date for Dirt 5 on Steam.
Dirt 5 was revealed throughout last month’s Xbox Series X showcase, tentatively pinning an October release date on the filthy racer. Now, Codemasters are assured they’ll be waving the chequered flag on Dirt 5 this October ninth.
Besides the discharge date trailer, Codemasters packed the again seats with extra Dirt 5 deets in a community blog post earlier at the moment. There are some new screens to gawk at, whereas seasoned voice actors Nolan North and Troy Baker’s roles within the story-driven profession mode after fleshed out slightly extra. The former will take the vocal reigns of your rival, Bruno Durand, whereas Baker can be mentoring you as fictional rally ace Alex ‘AJ’ Janicek.
Codemasters went deeper into Dirt’s profession mode with a deep-dive blog post earlier this month – outlining a branching profession path, sponsorships, and drop-in four-player split-screen multiplayer. Your story will even be framed by an in-game podcast from the oldsters at Donut Media, as a result of it’s 2020 and none of us are secure from podcasts – not even us.
As against its extra critical cousins within the Dirt Rally sequence, Dirt provides a dirty, arcadey sandbox of automobiles to a lot round with. Should all go to plan, Dirt 5 will tearing onto Steam on October ninth for £45/€55/$60.
