Throughout this May, the community eagerly awaiting GTA 6 has been caught in a relentless cycle of raised hopes and swift disappointments. Today, unfortunately, may follow that same frustrating pattern.
Content creator Frogboyx1Gaming has surfaced a claim involving an email allegedly sent via Best Buy’s mailing list. According to the message, pre-orders for the physical edition of the blockbuster title are slated to open on May 18. The promotional window reportedly spans four days, offering customers a 5% rebate on online transactions.
Determining the authenticity of this leak remains a challenge. While a significant portion of the fanbase is leaning toward believing the correspondence is legitimate, we advise cautious optimism; if accurate, we could be on the verge of a major announcement.
Nevertheless, several red flags warrant skepticism. For starters, the game’s formatting in the email appears irregular, as English-speaking markets almost exclusively favor Grand Theft Auto VI or GTA VI. Furthermore, Rockstar Games rarely drops significant news on a Monday, historically avoiding start-of-the-week updates. Could we be looking at a Tuesday reveal instead?
