Diablo 4 Fans Outraged by High Prices for StarCraft II-Style Skins

The new cosmetic offerings are exceptionally premium.

Recently Diablo 4 launched a crossover with StarCraft 2. The developers rolled out a collection of high-end cosmetic items.

Some players raised complaints about Blizzard’s pricing — for example, user Jnovuse wrote:

“I saw that each armor set costs 2,800, and the pet — 2,500. There are seven armor sets in total. You need 22,100 currency to buy everything.

Then I thought: ‘It can’t be that expensive — I’ll just purchase the currency from the store.’

The largest available [currency bundle] — 18,500 — costs a staggering $149.99. My heart sank. Looks like I won’t be giving my life for Aiyur this time.”

Why does the price of COSMETICS exceed the entire StarCraft 2 TRILOGY and the StarCraft remaster with Brood War COMBINED?

“Shame on you, Blizzard! I adore StarCraft and Diablo. Over $200 for cosmetics in this crossover is disgraceful… I propose you drastically reduce skin prices. Make them more accessible, please.”

Jcorb, who supports paid cosmetics, is also unhappy with Diablo 4’s pricing:

“Spending $200 on this ******* cosmetic junk? Seriously, how the ***, can that be justified? It’s several times the price of the game itself! I get that cosmetics are optional. Still, this goes far beyond bad taste — it’s basically Blizzard’s slogan: ‘If you’re not rich, you don’t get to have fun.’”
