Devendra Banharteven has introduced Fragments du Monde Flottant, a brand new compilation of demos from varied artists compiled by Banhart “over a period of many years.“ The collection features a previously unreleased Arthur Russell track, “Not Checking Up,” in addition to uncommon and unreleased tracks from artists similar to Nils Frahm, Vashti Bunyan, Helado Negro, King Tuff, and extra.
The vinyl-only launch arrives by way of Swiss label Bongo Joe on March 1 and can come “with one of six different colored cardboard packaging and one of six drawings by Devendra.” Banhart’s most up-to-date album of authentic materials, Ape in Pink Marble, was launched in 2016.
