Developers of Cronos and the Silent Hill 2 Remake Become Industry Giants — Studio Reveals Plans

Bloober Team hosted an investor chat where shareholders and fans were briefed on a number of new developments. The session opened with confirmation of strong sales for Cronos: The New Dawn.

As of September 8, more than 200,000 digital copies have been sold. According to the company, roughly 25% of revenue came from Steam, while PlayStation and Xbox showed the highest activity.

Physical sales have not yet been disclosed, but management is confident that Cronos will deliver substantial profits for the studio. This title is Bloober’s own IP, unlike the commissioned Silent Hill 2 Remake. The studio also noted that boxed editions for the Nintendo Switch 2 are already sold out.

When asked about the possibility of acquisition by a major player, the studio head responded that there is outside interest, but the team remains independent — although “nothing is off the table.”

Developers confirmed the Cronos team is already working on a new project, and that the Cronos brand will be further expanded across multiple formats.

Currently Bloober Team has five games in development. The studio says it will reveal announcements at major gaming events.

“Our aim is to secure a leading position in the horror genre, which entails a strategy of shortening the intervals between releases. Our external division helps enable this approach. Within that division we are also working on large-scale projects, so a prolonged lull between major launches should not be expected.”
