Legendary Pictures is so assured Detective Pikachu might be a success, it’s already planning the sequel.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Legendary Pictures has tagged 22 Jump Street’s Oren Uziel to pen the Detective Pikachu sequel.
Uziel’s earlier work consists of The Cloverfield Paradox, Freaks of Nature, and the upcoming Supergirl, Men in Black: International, Mortal Kombat and Sonic the Hedgehog movies.

Detective Pikachu stars Ryan Reynolds who lends his voice to the face of the Pokemon franchise. It will even star Justice Smith and Kathryn Newton.
The movie is about to launch in theaters on May 10.
