Details Emerge for Rayman Legends Retold Remake Including Fully Voiced Cutscenes and Dragon Riding

Following a recent release date delay to December, Ubisoft has released a new overview trailer for Rayman Legends Retold showcasing its key features in detail. The video highlights both the updated story with fully voiced cutscenes and additional content not found in the original game.

Rayman Legends Retold builds on the popular 2013 platformer, but the developers have significantly expanded its scope. The game will feature more three-dimensional content, including special segments where Rayman navigates environments while riding a dragon and dodging various obstacles.

One of the main additions is the Land of the Livid Dead, a brand-new dimension where players will seemingly confront the main antagonist. To navigate its hazardous sections, Rayman can use the Fairy Radiance ability to interact with the environment, including destroying blocking spikes.

The remake also introduces dozens of new outfits, an enhanced Kung Foot Evo mode with extra arenas, and the Cave of Trials. The latter offers daily, weekly, and monthly challenges. Experienced players can tackle the Old Deep Nightmare Trials, and participation in challenges alongside leaderboard placements will grant special anniversary rewards celebrating the series.

Ubisoft also highlighted the new story sequences. Rayman Legends Retold will feature fully voiced cinematic episodes, with players able to choose between different voiceover options.

The remake was originally scheduled to launch on October 1, but the developers delayed the release to December 3 even though the game had already gone gold.
