Defying Expectations: Model Embodies Hinako Shimizu from the Horror “Silent Hill”

Cosplayer Meiko Inoe convincingly embodies Hinako Shimizu from the psychological horror Silent Hill f, a game in which the protagonist must survive in a town cloaked by a supernatural fog and face grotesque monsters.

Not every fan of the Silent Hill franchise embraced Silent Hill f, yet the game still earned an 87 out of 100 on OpenCritic, amassed 1,202 negative and 5,340 positive reviews on Steam, and cultivated a fresh fanbase.

Model Meiko Inoe also explored the game’s unsettling universe — set in the 1960s Japanese town of Ebisuoka — to take on the role of Hinako Shimizu.

Hinako Shimizu is the central character of Silent Hill f — a schoolgirl who resists conforming to the conservative expectations imposed by Japanese society.

Her story is a fight for personal agency and the right to chart her own path. Hinako’s arc examines how inner turmoil and unresolved trauma interact with Silent Hill’s supernatural force, transforming her hometown into a uniquely personal nightmare.
