Actor Danny Ramirez, recently seen in Captain America: Brave New World, has officially stepped away from the upcoming third season of HBO’s The Last of Us. According to Variety, the production is now seeking a replacement for the role of Manny.
While an official release window for the third chapter has yet to be announced, the narrative is expected to center on the character of Abby, played by Kaitlyn Dever. The recasting comes as Ramirez balances several high-profile projects.
In 2026, Ramirez is slated to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe once again in Avengers: Doomsday. Additionally, he is preparing for the cameras to roll on Todd Haynes’ upcoming drama Night, where he will star alongside fellow The Last of Us alum Pedro Pascal.
