Cyberpunk 2077 fans criticize CDPR again — players unhappy with the active promotion of the female V

Fans sometimes take issue with marketing materials.

CD Projekt RED recently found itself under scrutiny once more after a social media post provoked backlash within the Cyberpunk 2077 community.

The studio shared a set of Phantom Liberty–themed desktop wallpapers — but there’s a catch: the pack features only artwork of the female version of the protagonist, V. That omission prompted reactions from players.

Acetronium: “Where are the Male V wallpapers for Phantom Liberty? You’re treating him like he wasn’t part of the game.”

Some interpreted the exclusion as a deliberate agenda.
