The bayous are alive and the rigs are rolling — we’re excited to reveal another selection of the custom freight depots you’ll be servicing in the forthcoming . Let’s take a closer look at what awaits on the roads and docks of the Pelican State.

If you missed the first installment, it’s well worth a read — we previously showcased five handcrafted depots created for this DLC, which you can find .
Our map designers have blended diverse asset sets to give each location its own character, drawing inspiration from real-world sites across Louisiana. Today we’re presenting five more unique facilities: two river ports, a shipyard, a salt mine, and a grain elevator.

Louisiana’s river ports serve as critical conduits between the interior and the Gulf of Mexico. The Port of Greater Baton Rouge — the northernmost deep-water port on the Mississippi — ranks among the country’s busiest, handling agricultural produce, bulk commodities and more. For truckers, these terminals are vital transfer points where river, rail and road networks interconnect to keep freight flowing day and night.
Further downriver and closer to the coast, the Port of Lake Charles links to the Gulf via the Calcasieu Ship Channel and supports a broad range of energy and industrial traffic. Its terminals see a steady throughput of diverse cargoes, making it a strategic stop for haulers in the region.

Shipyards have long underpinned Louisiana’s maritime economy, constructing and servicing tugboats, dredges and offshore support vessels. These facilities keep Gulf operations running smoothly, and truckers assigned to shipyards frequently transport vital parts, heavy equipment and specialized supplies required for maintenance and construction.

Beneath the state’s surface lies one of Louisiana’s longstanding natural resources: salt. The region’s salt domes — found near locations such as Lafayette and Avery Island — have been mined for generations and remain integral to industries from food processing to chemical production. Salt operations provide steady, heavy-haul work for drivers moving raw material, machinery and support supplies.

At the mouth of the Mississippi, New Orleans’ towering grain elevators continue to be a linchpin of the nation’s agricultural exports. These facilities aggregate truck- and barge-delivered wheat, corn and soybeans before transshipment to ocean-going vessels — an impressive testament to Louisiana’s long trading heritage and a busy destination for freight haulers.
