Courtney Love has reignited her longstanding feud with Bikini Kill and Kathleen Hanna following the band’s reunion. In a remark beneath a Bust Magazine Instagram post enthusing in regards to the exhibits, Love wrote, “Speak for yourself. Biggest hoax in history of rock and roll . 🖤💕”
When an Instagram consumer mockingly speculated that Love’s phrases may “actually offend a person and they will implode,” the Hole frontwoman responded: “Yeah. It’s worse when I speak truth to rock male industrial complex. But at least I have the best view. Two of that band total amateurs. Hanna is a good hype man. But her persona is such a diy nonsense dilettante. A big idea they cannot convey, because they suck. That’s all! Back to Paris couture, because frocks don’t trigger me. Ce vai!”
Pitchfork has emailed a Bikini Kill consultant for remark. Hanna, Tobi Vail, and Kathi Wilcox will play three exhibits this spring in New York and L.A. Guitarist Erica Dawn Lyle will substitute Billy Karren.
Love’s beef with Hanna dates again to the 1990s. During an notorious confrontation at Lollapalooza 1995, Love both punched Hanna, threw some sweet and slapped “in the direction of her face,” or gave her an ambiguous shove throughout a heated argument, relying on whose version of events you believe.
