A Los Angeles court dismissed a lawsuit filed by Vin Diesel’s assistant, Asta Jonasson, who accused the actor of sexualized misconduct. The judge determined the court lacked jurisdiction because the alleged events occurred in the state of Georgia.
The complaint was filed two years ago. According to Jonasson, while shooting the film Fast Five, Diesel invited her to his hotel room and engaged in sexually inappropriate behavior. A few hours after the alleged incident, the actor’s sister informed the assistant that she had been let go.
Jonasson’s attorneys say they plan to file an appeal; whether the court will agree to review the case is unclear.
Diesel’s representatives reject the claims, asserting the actor has evidence demonstrating his innocence.
