Cosplayer brings Cyberpunk Edgerunners netrunner Lucy to life
Cosplayer Kristina Rein visited the megalopolis of Night City from the anime series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners to portray Lucyna “Lucy” Kushinada, a netrunner, mercenary, and former Arasaka Corporation employee.
The second season of the anime series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is scheduled for release in the fall. An exact release date is not available yet, but photographer Kira “KIRA photoarts” Mitenkova allows cosplay fans to travel back to the megalopolis of Night City.

During the photoshoot, cosplayer Kristina Rein appeared as Lucyna “Lucy” Kushinada, a netrunner, mercenary, and former employee of the famous Arasaka Corporation.

Lucy has a very striking and memorable appearance that sets her apart from other characters. She has pale skin and expressive eyes with unusual gradient makeup. Her signature features are short hair and an asymmetric bangs.

In clothing, she prefers futuristic minimalism, frequently appearing in a form-fitting white bodysuit with an open back and black high-waisted shorts. Initially, Lucy’s personality seems withdrawn, cold, and cynical, as a character who trusts no one and cares only about her own survival.

As the story progresses and she grows closer to David, she reveals herself as a deeply loyal, caring, and vulnerable person. Lucy genuinely loves those close to her and is ready to make any sacrifices to protect them, even if it forces her to act alone and conceal her motives.

As a netrunner, Lucy possesses outstanding skills in hacking and manipulating virtual space. She masterfully infiltrates other people’s cybernetic systems, steals data, and disables enemy implants from a distance. In combat, Lucy uses a monowire, an extremely thin and lethal laser cable hidden in her hands, which allows her to instantly slice through opponents or machinery.
