Control Resonant Surpasses Past Remedy Game Sales on Steam

Control Resonant has become Remedy’s most successful Steam launch, drawing more than 34,000 concurrent players and taking second place on the bestseller chart with an 88% positive rating.

Control Resonant reached more than 34,000 concurrent players on Steam, almost quadrupling the numbers of the original Control. Even before release, the game had been added to the wishlists of more than 2 million users.

Six years ago, the first Control peaked at 9,100 players, whereas Control Resonant has already surpassed the 34,000 mark. The new game also significantly outperformed Quantum Break, which maxed out at 2,719 players on Steam.

High interest was also evident from the wishlist numbers: on September 22, before release, over 2 million platform users had added the game to their wishlists. The game ranked 8th on the most-wishlisted list.

Control Resonant is also in the top three of the Steam bestseller chart, trailing only EA Sports FC 27. The game received an 88% positive rating on Steam based on nearly 2,000 reviews. The PS5 version holds a 9.6 out of 10 rating on the PlayStation Store based on nearly 2,000 reviews.
