Control Resonant Leaked on PC Before Release While PlayStation Players Paid for Early Access

The PC launch clearly did not go as the developers planned.

The full release of Control Resonant is scheduled for September 24 on PC and consoles, alongside a premium early access period. However, developer Remedy Entertainment’s new game features an unconventional premium access model.

Only players who purchased the Digital Deluxe Edition on PlayStation 5 gained entry to Control Resonant 48 hours early, as the expanded edition grants no early play rights on other platforms.

Yet an unofficial PC early access version of Control Resonant has recently begun. A cracked version of the game has already leaked online a day before the regular release. Pre-loading on PC through Steam has not yet started, meaning the leak cannot be blamed on anyone forgetting to encrypt the build. The source of the leak has not yet been disclosed.

Chronologically, Control Resonant is a sequel centered on Dylan Faden, the brother of the original Control protagonist. He spent many years imprisoned within the Federal Bureau of Control, and his former wardens have now tasked him with “confronting a mysterious entity that distorts the fundamental laws of our reality.”
