Expanding the Horizon
The Last Caretaker has always been defined by its complex systems, vast distances, and the weight of your choices. With Content Update 4, we are inviting you to explore that world from a new perspective.
Enter the Salvage Gyro—a nimble, light utility aircraft designed to help you traverse high-altitude platforms, navigate cavernous pits, and reach isolated service hubs.
Introducing Gyro Service Towers
Scattered across the map, these high-altitude maintenance platforms served as the backbone for gyro operations. Within these structures, you will find vital blueprints, tools, and specialized equipment. These were never intended to be glamorous; they were pragmatic outposts where hardworking crews kept these rugged machines functional against all odds. Because these crews were often cut off from major workshops, these towers were stocked with the information needed for emergency repairs and local fabrication.
Seed Vault Eden Cradle
Navigate the labyrinthine corridors of Eden Cradle, a sprawling Seed Vault featuring partitioned chambers that provide a deeper look into humanity’s long-lost survival architecture.
Project Canticle
Project Canticle unveils a mysterious new sector tied to the underlying enigma of the world. We prefer to let you experience its secrets firsthand rather than detailing them here.
HoloMemory
This update introduces HoloMemory, a system that projects visual echoes of past events in specific locations. These aren’t just mere collectibles—they are poignant glimpses into the world as it once was, waiting for you to uncover them.
New Utility Tools
Content Update 4 bolsters your arsenal with several practical additions:
Decoy Pod
A tactical, deployable device designed to draw fire and misdirect threats when direct confrontation isn’t the optimal strategy.
Drone Charging Station
A new module that extends the operational range and duration of your scouting drones.
Hook Cables
Enhanced cable mechanics that attach to various structures, providing new ways to interact with the environment.

We have expanded and polished numerous regions, including:

The Methane Conversion Pits are colossal climate-engineering shafts, plunging over 180 meters deep into the earth, housing complex machine rooms and pipe networks. They are industrial, imposing, and unforgiving. Tread carefully.
