Director Shawn Levy has disclosed the composer for Star Wars: Starfighter. The score will be recorded by Thomas Newman, a fifteen-time Academy Award nominee whose credits include American Beauty and The Shawshank Redemption.
Starfighter takes place five years after Episode IX, The Rise of Skywalker. The film follows the protagonist (Ryan Gosling) as he attempts to rescue his nephew (Flynn Gray) from relentless, scheming pursuers.
The cast also features Amy Adams, Mia Goth, Matt Smith, and Aaron Pierre. Starfighter is slated for release on May 28, 2027.
