Combat roguelike Godbreakers — about fighting AI — launches in October
Publisher Thunderful Games and developer To The Sky have announced the release date for Godbreakers, a new cooperative hack-and-slash experience.
The game is being developed for PC and PS5, with a launch planned for October 23, 2025. An updated PC demo will be released on October 9 and will introduce a new biome for players to explore.
“Our aim has always been to craft a game that’s immediately satisfying to pick up while revealing deeper layers as you experiment. With responsive combat and abilities that can be combined in countless ways, we hope hack-and-slash and roguelite fans will find room to experiment and enjoy intense moments. We’re eager to see the strategies and builds players come up with after the October 23 release,” said Jugo Markovic, CEO and Executive Producer at To The Sky.
In Godbreakers, players become vessels of humanity revived by celestial beings to eradicate Monad — an uncontrolled AI. You can absorb enemies’ powers, cancel actions for precise control, combine abilities, and face epic bosses, honing your playstyle with each run.
Features: 1–4 player co-op, fast-paced combat with synergistic abilities, the ability to absorb foes’ powers and unleash the powerful Godbreak attack, multi-phase bosses with unique attacks, quick and fluid combat, deep build and archetype experimentation, and six biomes filled with distinct enemies and traps.
