Coldplay’s “Higher Power” now comes in acoustic.
At the stroke of midnight, the iconic British band dropped a stripped-back version of their comeback track.
The official studio cut of “Higher Power” arrived May 7, their first release since 2019’s Everyday Life. Later, on June 8, came its futuristic music video.
The acoustic version arrives ahead of Coldplay’s in-person performances this Wednesday (June 16) on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and the following day live from the plaza on Today.
“Higher Power” is the first single from the act’s upcoming as-yet-untitled ninth studio album, which has featured an alien-themed worldwide viral campaign under the guise of AlienRadio.
