Begun on November 10, 2020, the case of the acquisition of the company Codemasters finally comes to an end. After a – light – showdown between Take Two Interactive and Electronic Arts, it is finally the publisher of FIFA who wins after presenting a nice envelope of $ 1.2 billion, against 960 million for Take Two Interactive who did not wish to bid and therefore kindly withdrew from the race. In any case, the leaders of Codemasters had expressed their preference to be part of the house of EA, rather than that of Take Two Interactive, explaining a reconciliation of mindset in the way of conceiving sports games. It therefore did not take long for the main leaders of Codemasters to vote in favor of Electronis Arts, knowing that all this will be materialized at the next general meetings which will take place on February 3.
