Cities in South Dakota

South Dakota offers far more than a glance at Mount Rushmore. We’re thrilled to share a preview of several towns coming to the upcoming . Each location has been lovingly recreated by our teams to capture its character, history, and landscape. Buckle up — let’s explore.

Cities in South Dakota

Spearfish

Nestled on the edge of the Black Hills, Spearfish is often one of the first stops when coming in from Wyoming. The area is defined by dense pines, dramatic rock outcrops, and scenic backdrops that make every haul feel cinematic.

Beyond the natural beauty, Spearfish hosts an active downtown and industrial zone that provides a steady flow of contracts for drivers — whether you prefer short hops or long-distance runs.

Mobridge

Sitting near the North Dakota border on the banks of the Missouri River, Mobridge is a peaceful riverside town with a memorable landmark: the historic Missouri River Bridge. Built in 1959, the bridge famously straddles the boundary between Mountain and Central time zones.

Downtown Mobridge offers a relaxed pace and local industrial work, perfect for drivers who want to soak up the scenery and take their time exploring a riverfront community.

Winner

Located close to the Nebraska line, Winner is a small city steeped in agricultural tradition. Its name comes from a 1909 contest to secure the railroad right‑of‑way — Winner emerged victorious when the Chicago and North Western Railway expanded westward.

One highlight you won’t want to miss is a vibrant mural in the downtown area — faithfully recreated in the DLC — which celebrates the town’s heritage and adds local color to your route.

Buffalo

Out in the far northwest lies Buffalo, a tiny town that exudes frontier charm. With quiet roads, open plains, and an unhurried atmosphere, Buffalo offers a true sense of remoteness.

Be sure to look for Centennial Park’s animal sculptures, a tribute to the region’s wildlife. Fun fact: South Dakota includes two towns with animal names — Buffalo and Bison — both represented in this DLC.

This selection is just a snapshot of the many communities you’ll be able to discover while traversing South Dakota in American Truck Simulator. We can’t wait to share more from the DLC as release approaches.
