CI Games aims to create the “best soulslike in history” with Lords of the Fallen II
CI Games will not showcase Lords of the Fallen 2 at Gamescom 2026. The developer plans to use the extra time to polish the game and refine the soulslike experience.
Many players support the studio’s choice to skip the event.
Reddit users suggest the team needs more time for development and wants to conserve its budget. Marek Tyminski, the head of CI Games, previously stated that the company prefers investing in production rather than trade show presentations.
Tyminski confirmed to investors and players that the game is now playable from start to finish. The team shifted the release to early 2027 to build a top-tier soulslike action RPG.
