While the project has been surrounded by years of speculation and A-list casting rumors, the gears are finally turning. Production for Heat 2 is officially slated to commence this November.
The upcoming film is structured as a dual-narrative experience, functioning simultaneously as a prequel and a direct sequel to the original crime saga. The screenplay draws its narrative foundation from the 2022 novel of the same name, which was co-authored by Mann himself.
